" little mermaid" and "peter pan" are two of my daughters favorite movies. (we see it together about 10 million times a day.. nice hugh ?). this piece came about while I was playing around with light scattering techniques over various surfaces, still working on some of the comp blocking (almost there) ....

domo arigato ANGEL san !!!! ...another concept / promo, exploring what angel's may look like (depends on who's looking right ?) This concept is a first in series of 7 "Mecha-Angel's" I'm currently working on (one angel for each day of the week)."Uriel" corresponds to the third day of our Gregorian week (Wednesday), and is a spiritual guide to those who are born on that day (even if your a robot).

Angel Series

"Angel del Este" first in a series of angel concepts I did a few years ago. This Angel corresponds to the eastern hemisphere (ASIA). I have finished the other three as well (North, South and West), but for some reason I like this one the best ... (what do angel's really look like anyway ?)

Mendoza (Angel Criollo)

COPYRIGHT 2004-2009 Philip Salas. All Rights Reserved By The Artist.

Been trying out a new approach to scene concept design. I did this piece awhile back, to test out comp setting work flow between various software. It's a first draft at blocking the characters out, lighting, etc. Still don't feel right, so will probably revisit soon when I have some time. The central character is "Mendoza" the custodian of time, a lead character to a personal project on the way.
